Aimée de Heij is a senior legal counsel and has worked as a legal professional and legal manager at various organisations (both profit and non-profit).

She leads the legal team at Luris. In addition, she assess and draft agreements for academic and commercial collaborations and deal with technology transfer, knowledge valorisation, IP rights, subsidies, and state aid rules. In this context, Aimée works with (international) academic institutions, commercial parties, and the government. She acts as a legal sparring partner for the faculties and institutes of Leiden University. Aimée provides legal advice on the set-up of spin-offs. She is a member of the Knowledge Security Advisory Centre of Leiden University. Her working approach is pragmatic and solution-oriented, considering the context and the various interests at stake within the organisation.
