Coordinator Grant Development Team

Anke Klerkx is the teamlead of the Grant Development Team and community manager of the university wide Research Funding Support Community. Building on over 20 years of experience in grant writing for both academic and company research, she supports her team and wider support staff in providing optimal support to researchers for successfully acquiring research funding. The activities are centered around training and advising researchers on a fitting funding call, proposal texts, as well as making connections with stakeholders, thereby sharing knowledge and experience to further empower researchers and support staff. Strategic activities, such as influencing funders, policy makers and internal operations are employed to provide the conditions for funded research and create new opportunities. She is highly driven by the potential value of scientific research for society, which -in her opinion – also justifies continuous investment in curiosity driven basic research.
