Sara Cigna has a background in molecular genomics, biochemistry and cell biology with a PhD in Oncology (Institute Curie, France).
She has industrial experience in establishing strategic partnership with academia (Roche, France). With seven years in business development and IP management, Sara supports academics by developing and implementing valorization strategies on research results, advising and assisting with company creation, engaging industry partners to pursue collaborative opportunities. In parallel, she coordinates the community of Knowledge Transfer professionals (Impact Officers, Business Developers, Innovation Managers, and thematic innovation managers) of Leiden University as part of the Leiden Research Support Network.
