Senior Grant Advisor

Vassilis Koutsogiannis is a Senior Grant Advisor, supporting University researchers in securing individual and collaborative research grants at national and European levels. He provides proposal reviews, funding opportunity scanning and matching, project development, and tailored training and information sessions. To do so, he builds on previous experience in proposal writing and project development across a range of European funding instruments, having worked with research, industry, and policy stakeholders.

Vassilis strives to foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment around research funding within the University. He is driven by the belief in the intrinsic societal value of fundamental, curiosity-driven research, alongside the responsible realisation of application-oriented research. He is well-versed in both worlds and finds working at the intersection of these two domains very rewarding.
