Leiden University researchers who are planning a research project often need to have specific contracts or legal documents approved and signed. Please note that a Request for Approval form (RfA) is obligatory in the signature process.. The Request for Approval form can be generated by means of the Contract Tool.
Legal expertise is indispensable when you are building the different relationships that are necessary to move from research innovation to societal impact. Luris offers legal support to the Leiden-based research teams we are involved with, and we offer research-related knowledge and legal advice to all Leiden academics.
The Legal team of Luris:
* reviews, drafts and negotiates research related contracts, from Confidentiality Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements to Consortium Agreements for large collaborative research projects involving multiple academic and industrial partners;
* gives advice on research collaborations, consultancy services, exploitation of intellectual property and know-how;
* advises on regulations and conditions;
* prepares and maintains model contracts, and making these available to researchers via the Luris Contract Tool.
